Hello, my name is Richard Fowler.
I was born and raised in the Carthage area and went to church until I was about 14. I then chose to go with the world instead of with God. In 2005 I joined the US Army. I was deployed to Iraq in 2007 with redeploying back to the states in mid-2008 after an injury that caused me to be medically retired and ended my career. In 2019 I fell back in love with my lord and savior Jesus Christ where he has blessed me with a great many things and has given me a hunger for the word. I have learned to study to show myself approved to him so he may put people in my path for me to lead them to Him.
My roles at United in Faith are Vice President, head of maintenance, deacon, teacher, and drummer in our praise band. God has given me my amazing wife Melissa Fowler to be by my side as she is also a teacher. I like studying the word, teaching, bush crafting, woodworking and playing drums.
My passion and mission is to show what God has done in my life to every veteran, first responder, firefighter, and law enforcement personnel out there. To show them how they, like I have, can also beat anxiety, PTSD plus a slew of other mental and physically debilitating illnesses. Psalms 91:10, James 4:7, Proverbs 3:5 and 2 Timothy 2:15 are the basis of life. I give thanks to God for sending Pastor Tim T; who is now my son, for giving sound scripture that eventually sent me down this path. It is better than the path that I was on. Thank you and be blessed.
